Purushu Arie is a fashion designer who is presently based in Chennai. The blog was created in 2009 in order to record his journey as a fashion design student while studying at NIFT New Delhi. 

Apart from fashion blogging, Purushu has written the fashion show reviews for FDCI Designer Mode magazine for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week since SS2012 to AW2013 season and spent the summer of 2012 designing eco-friendly yoga range for FS Asia Marketing, Bangalore. After graduating from NIFT New Delhi, he worked as menswear designer at Burnt Umber & Lee Cooper team in Mumbai. As of July 2014, Purushu quit his day job and relocated to Chennai to completely focus on this blog and Rivista di Moda Fashion Magazine.

Purushu's expertise includes fashion illustration, draping, pattern making, history of costume and fashion and surface development techniques. He is deeply influenced by the artistic expression of fashion and admires Lee McQueen, John Galliano, Rei Kawakubo, Rick Owens, Phoebe Philo, Wendell Rodricks, Tarun Tahiliani and Viktor & Rolf.

He draws inspiration from the life and work of Leonardo Da Vinci and Vincent Van Gogh with whom he shares his birthday. He is a self confessed sports fanatic and loves Rahul Dravid, Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul Gonzalez, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Real Madrid CF. His playlist mostly comprises of the evergreen Beatles, Ilayaraja, A R Rahman, classic Rock n Roll and Psychedelic Trance.
